If catalytic converter lost functionaliy and replace the ordinary silencer does it impact on the parameters of engine? I think that the machine better ''breathe'' and higher consumption fuel and nothing more. What is your opinion or expirience? I ask that question because catalytic converter has high price.

No, removal of the catalyst does not influence job of the engine.

[ENG]If you are not from greenpeace, you can replace your catalyst with ordinary silencer, but don't forget to change ECU firmware/setup, because IMHO catalyst has oxygen sensor, if so, it must be switched off with ECU firmware settings.

[RUS]Если ты не зелёный, можешь поменять на обычный глушитель, но не забудь сменить прошивку/настройки, ИМХО в катализаторе есть датчик кислорода, и он должен быть отключен в настройках АСУД.

What about oxygen sensor, please comment my post above if you know. If catalyst has embedded oxygen sensor, ECU will display CE and fallback to configuration without it or what ?

I think that you have wrong opinion. Ordinary silencer welding behind sensors for oxygen! I think that Vaz 1,6 16 valves has only one sensor for oxygen immediately after engine output gas branches. Wink

I think that expansion output pipes allows the car to breathe easier, and little gain of power.
For much better performance should be a greater flow of air through the engine. Better entrance air supported turbocharged and wider output pipes. Of corse, if the repair engine we get a sports car. But I don't need sports car. What you think about that?

I have VAZ 21124 1,6 16 valves Evro 3 with plastics впускного трубопровода!

Then, i think you must have 2 oxygen sensors (before and after catalitic converter). Removing converter and 2nd sensor - you must remove 2nd sensor flag from ECU software (i.e. you'll get Euro-2), or replace 2nd OS with emulator.
IMHO - you dont receive big gain in power by changing output pipes on civilian (not sport) car, couple of HP doesnt count Smile

How to do that? I want to know that step by step if you sure in this job.
Another question: I have TNG in my VAZ (секвенциальной газа ''Tomassto). If I drive on TNG then signals from the oxygen sensors to received gas car computer or a computer? I think then oxygen sensors do not have any impact on the work of the motor in this case.

Im not so sure - just read about this several times Pardon But here we have more competent specialists in that kind of works, if they give out any instructions - maybe i can help to translate.
